All of the photos in this book were taken in Shoreditch, East London. When I visited this neighborhood over the summer, I was intrigued by the extremely artistic community. Wandering down the streets in mid-August, I noticed people creating art on every block. I photographed rappers shooting a music video, artists spray-painting graffiti, and bypassers observing and interacting with the street art. In my photos I hope to have captured the lively energy of the area. I also used some of the photos I took as a base for my own artwork. In this book, I have included several transfers and collages I made to complement the incredible artwork I saw on the streets of Shoreditch.
